PNY 1GB Memory sale at Best Buy? - memory sale
I'm ready, my Compaq Presario C509 Notebook memory upgrade is now 512th I was browsing through Best Buy and found a PNY 1GB memory for the sale of $ 44.99 at Best Buy. Should I or should not I? I have never been treated with memory upgrades, so not really knowing what to look, and brand. What is your opinion?

Since we do not know much RAM you need to know if your PC detects and stick 1G!
Try to take two of these sites and run their analysis tools on your laptop, how many and what type of RAM you have and see what support the computer. Many older PCs do not simply recognize a 1G stick to be careful what they buy.

Personally I would not buy an upgrade from Best Buy. When it comes to computers, I do not think these people the confidence to know what your discussions on the! But $ 45 for a concert club is a flight of an agreement, it would be worthy to be an exception ... That's what I would do:
1) Go to Best Buy and write to all the technical data of RAM available for sale. (It seems he has already)
2) Go home and go to online-RAM with a scanner system (like Crucial.com) shop.
3) Run the scan and said, take into account the requirements of the clubs with the online retailer that work on the computer. In addition, RAM sticks recommending the website has some general guidelines, which RAM to work on your computer, what data you need to be more concerned, etc.
If you're Best Buy to sell a game for the team, go ahead. Hang at the front desk so that you can, if they do not work on your laptop.
But again, my opinion is: If the online saleRE can match the price at Best Buy, or are reasonably conclude, I would buy from RAM instead of Best Buy online. So to me, I bought it. My system does not like, and I had problems. Program "Memtest" found 14,856 errors in the combination. My system: AMD 3700, 1GB of RAM (still) WinXP Pro, Gigabyte MB (not really picky) on the memory card as it may, my advice is, we do not buy. Cora Use / Site Analyzer is crucial to see what works on PCs. Just a thought.
I do not buy more .. . which are too high ... Online shopping can also use $.
